Section 57
False or false currency
(1) The bank may remove, destroy or replace the counterfeit currency with other bank notes or coins. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the bank may remove the design, tear, mutilate or have more than fifty percent of the bank notes or (3) The bank may withdraw or destroy such bank notes or coins with or without giving compensation to the owner of the bank note or coin as specified in sub-section (1). There will be no right to get it. The Bank may confiscate any altered or counterfeit coins or counterfeit notes without compensation. Explanation: For the purposes of this section, "counterfeit coin" means a counterfeit coin struck, molded or engraved in imitation of a coin issued by the Bank, or a coin issued by the Bank in two or two. A coin that has been cut, broken or has the numbers, letters and symbols mentioned on the coin erased.
